KLM was engaged to deliver an integrated Town Planning and Built Form Design solution for the site, supporting the development from initial site assessment through to planning approval.
KLM prepared and developed the built form designs across the site, including warehousing, commercial tenancies and a self-storage facility. We also successfully coordinated and incorporated design documentation prepared by an external design company into the overall project documentation. A key achievement was KLM’s management of the Town Planning process through Council, navigating the complexities associated with the scale and mix of uses proposed on the site. Our Town Planning team also led negotiations with Viva Energy, addressing the additional planning and operational considerations arising from the development’s proximity to the fuel refinery.
Through close coordination with Council, Viva Energy and the project consultants, KLM helped resolve the key planning and design considerations and successfully progressed the development through the approval process.
